Step into Spring at City Winery Hudson Valley in Montgomery

With locations throughout the U.S., I’ve gotta say I have a soft spot for City Winery’s Hudson Valley location in Montgomery, NY. This 130 year-old historic Montgomery Mill has been restored and revamped with exquisite detail to bring a more present-day feel to a classic winery. Their location includes The Barrel Room Restaurant and Boiler Room Wine Bar with cozy fireplaces and front-row views of where the wine is made.

Just last week I was lucky enough to be invited to their stunning property for a 12-course tasting of new Spring menu items. Executive Chef, Tony Moustakas, Winemaker, Travis Van Caster, and Beverage Director Ania Fedorava did an excellent job walking guests through the culinary journey they crafted with the utmost care. Each dish achieved a deep flavor profile that was perfectly complemented by an accompanying drink. The food was delicious and the flavors were kept light and fresh which is fitting for the warmer weather to come.

The menu offered a wonderful variety of food from several regions of cuisine and balanced a variety of textures and colors perfect for photographing (and eating!). SO, without further adieu, here’s a recap of the City Winery Hudson Valley’s 12-course Spring tasting menu.
